Before You Embed: Choosing the Right Widget for Your Page

Let’s start with the #1 thing to know before copying and pasting any code: There are two widgets available—Listing Widget and Forms Widget—and they behave very differently:

  • Listing Widget

    • Inherits your website’s CSS (so your job listings look like part of your site).

    • Only one can be used per page. Trying to embed widgets for two or more of your sites? This widget will not play nice.

  • Forms Widget

    • Allows multiple widgets on the same page—perfect for showing jobs from multiple sites.

    • Displayed in an iFrame, which means it won’t adopt your site's CSS. It’ll look a little more “boxed in.”

In short:

  • Listing Widget = Styled like your site, but only one per page.

  • Forms Widget = Multiple widgets per page, but no custom styling.

We recommend choosing your widget based on layout needs first, then handing the code to your web developer if styling or placement gets tricky.

How to Use the Jobs Widget with the Staffing Version

Ready to get your hands on the widget code? Here’s how to do it:

  1. Head to Your Account Settings

    • Click the Menu Icon, then select Account Details from the dropdown.

  2. Find the Jobs Widget

    • Under the Integrate section, click the Embeddable Jobs Widget icon.

  3. Pick Your Site

    • In the "Show widgets for:" dropdown, choose the site you'd like to pull job listings from.

    • The widget code will instantly update to match your selection.

  4. Grab and Embed Your Code

    • Scroll down to choose between the Listing Widget or Forms Widget.

    • Copy the code and paste it directly into your company’s careers page—or hand it off to your trusty web developer.

To Recap:

  • Want to show multiple widgets on the same page? Use the Forms Widget.

  • Want the widget to match your site’s look and feel? Use the Listing Widget, but remember—it’s a one-per-page kind of tool.

  • The Listing Widget also doesn’t honor the “Post to Parent” setting. (We love it, but it has its quirks.)
